. . . enberg?

Here's a few thoughts on World Youth Day, first the obvious:
Which of the actual days is WYD?

Would people be hatin' on the catholics if they still had smiling John Paul II in charge instead of Pope Palpatine?

What's with the Catholics getting all the hate? You only have to be PC if the worshippers may be related to terrorists? (Damn, why the the IRA retire?)

Why is Iemma passing laws without parliament? Did he think he could bring this 'Large events' law in during a religious fest and think nobody would notice?

How come people can't seem to differentiate between catholics and the more 'Happyclapper' kinds of christianity?
Hint: Catholic church, has a problem with institutional abuse which they are slowly dealing with, albeit not always in the best fashion, Hillsong is a religion started by a paedophile apparently.

Why's everybody moaning about their journey's being disrupted? You've had enough time to read about this. Do you need to be spoon fed? I heard none of these complaints during the olympics, which goes to show the real religion in this country. ;)

is something I've been craving since I heard the name of Naomi Kidman's new addition.
Guess they have their reasons for calling their daughter 'Sunday Roast' in the meantime, pass the gravy please.

(Yeah, I know it's Nicole . . . hardly makes a difference does it?)

I don't drive a car so the petrol thing is inconsequential, as for the taxing of alcopops?

SFW, you remember kicking the same drinks old school? Woop-de-doo! The bar staff, with a little extra training will be able to mix you that same drink by hand! My GOD! I hear you say, they can do that?!?!

Yes, theoretically, I mean they have so much time on their hands ignoring the "No More! It's The Law!" stickers behind their less popular liqueurs, it stands to reason doesn't it?

What I am expecting is the hospitality industry complaining this tax will increase the labour on their staff, without admitting the situation is partly their own doing by feeding drunk bogans more booze.

Ah, Morris Iemma, the 'Droopy' of NSW politics . . . I am available to be Chancellor if you want.

Righteous indignation, that's what I'm feeling right now. Especially seeing as according to the news we're not the only poor schmoes getting ripped off for no reason in this city. You see, the problem is the extortionate attitude of the people we rent from. I have lived here for over four years and up until a few months ago had only two rent increases. The last one of those was last may and the increase was for fifteen dollars a week. That's cool, I can live with that after all I had a full time job and very little expenses. Fast forward a year and now without a job and a new family to support, I got a letter informing me of a rent increase. Okay, I thought seems a bit soon considering it wasn't even a year since the last one what are they thinking of? Well it seems a property I have helped pay the mortage on for four years has increased in value. Funny though, I was under the impression the real estate market was stalling. I was facing an increase of forty bucks a week!!! What is going on here? That's almost 3 times the last increase, in a building where you can often take your life in your own hands taking the dodgey (drop a few floors) lift. A building where some genius took a wall that was white so the transparent artwork could be seen and painted it a dark teal leaving us with square blobs on a horrid 'feature wall'. Anyway I digress, I had to swallow the increase which is hard considering I'm living on my savings, but to add insult to injury the leasing agents have not even responded to our communications, and refused to change the leaseholders names to the extent they've been contacting my previous flatmate!

Fuck it, there's nothing I can do but fantasize about winning the lotto and wrecking this place as I leave. You know, keep the fucking bond! If you don't like I can always drive a cement truck in the front of your offices. Rant ends . . .

So, China has discovered the wonderful world of Islamic terrorism. Apparently there's a million kidnap plots and some suicide bombers and all that going to ruin the Olympics. Funnily enough, from what I hear there's almost no tickets or accomodation available for competitors families, so I guess Osama knows some people in the Beijing ticket offices.
Frankly, this has to be the most obvious and stupid 'sleight of hand' attempted by the Chinese government so far. Hey! Worlds Media! Forget about Tibet, we got terrorists! Pity, they don't have the experience and media resources the US have in distracting the public. To be Honest, they should have just blamed the unrest on british school kids in hoodies or god forbid, Corey the Melbourne party animal.

The replacement of correct english with WTF english.
I see this so much while online, moderating or just reading.

'Should of' makes no sense, try using 'should have'?
'Sort've' okay this was an new version of the above, next time try 'sort of'?
'Could of' makes no sense, try using 'could have'?

I mean would you want to go see 'The Phantom've the Opera'?
How about 'The Hills of Eyes'?

rant over.

Any X-Files fans still out there? X-Files 2 is being shot currently although I reckon these shots are red-herrings like the werewolf shot a few weeks back.

Okay then, here's a bit of a new twist on an old flava.
Old club, new venue and some classic tunes.
What you get up to later on Oxford street's your own business as long as you do this first!
